He became known in the 1980s as a stand-up comedian who specializes in self-deprecating humor, and later on roles in films and on the TV series “Only Love” and “Die Your Enthusiasm”, the films “ Once Breaking the Law ”, “Alkashi” " Leaving Las Vegas ."
Biography
Richard Lewis was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. His father worked in the kitchen, and his mother was an actress. Lewes is a Jewish family [1] , although not particularly religious [2] . Since childhood, Richard loved jokes and practical jokes, which often infuriated his teachers [2] .
Lewis was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity at college and attended Ohio State University . . He began acting in a comedy in the 70s.
Richard Lewis is ranked 45th on the Comedy Central list of "The 100 Greatest Stands of All Time" [3] .
