SonoContour
SonoContour is an art project by Sergey Filatov, including sound sculptures and spatial sound installations
Interacting, sound sculptures form a single polyphonic canvas, the transformations of which visitors can watch moving in the exposition space. As a composer, Sergey Filatov creates a score based on a random or algorithmic order, varies and builds transformations of the sound canvas, based on the natural principles of sound textures. Refracting in non-standard exposition spaces, the sound of objects is organized into a complex system of transformations: the construction of sound sculptures grows into the building of sound architecture.
The artist designs forms with new technological functionality and metaphysical properties, transforming the components of specialized equipment, reincarnating their sound potential in the designation of an element of an artwork. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of the acoustic properties of materials: quartz, glass, brass, aluminum, seeds of vegetable crops, etc. Sound installations reflect the different principles of sound extraction (some of them are the discoveries of the artist), and also differ in timbre color, volume level and direction of sound.
Sound sculptures by Sergey Filatov consistently embody the principle of continuous variability, characteristic of natural phenomena. Presented as a total sound installation, they reorganize sound in space, embodying the idea of acoustic awareness.

Omniauris
Omniauris is Sergey Filatov’s author’s project, which includes spatial sound performance and multi-channel installations. The name of the project comes from two Latin roots, meaning "omnidirectionality" and "ears." The project originated in 2014 as a sound theater. Inspiration for sound in the natural environment served as an inspiration for its creation: each individual sound is harmoniously woven into a common sound canvas, creating a unique, every second changing sound picture. The practice of field recordings has been conducted since 2013. Attention is focused not only on the habitual sounds of natural and urban environments, but also on subtle audible microsounds. The project is based on the idea of developing acoustic awareness, which involves conscious concentration on real-time sound landscapes. To achieve the effect of spatial sound, a multichannel speaker system is used. Sound performance is a real-time work with prepared copyright field recordings and studio material.
