Biography
Born into a poor peasant family. In 1918 he graduated from elementary school and for some time worked in the volost land department.
Since 1919 - in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since 1921 he served in the units "to combat banditry" in the Poltava region.
In 1926 he graduated from the Sumy Infantry School and was called up for service in the border troops of the GPU-NKVD.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1927 .
In 1938 - 1939 - chief of staff of the Kyakhtinsky border detachment, battalion commander, commander of a special border detachment of the Trans-Baikal border district. Member of the hostilities against the Japanese army in the Khalkhin Gola area.
Member of World War II . In 1941, he commanded the 6th border detachment in the city of Rakvere, Estonian SSR. In 1942 he commanded the 6th division of the NKVD troops in the Dagestan ASSR, in 1943 he was commander of the 8th Grozny division of the NKVD troops. Then he commanded the NKVD forces of the Georgian SSR, headed the 66th division of the NKVD troops.
In November 1945 - March 1946 - commander of the 62nd Infantry Division of the Internal Troops of the NKVD of the USSR.
In March 1946 - April 1948 - head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR in the Ternopil region.
In 1948 - 1950 - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR.
In September 1950 - March 1953 - Head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR in the Kharkov region.
In April 1954 - July 1956 - Minister of the Interior of the Azerbaijan SSR.
