Synopsis

Dr. Murray, taught the art of astral projection, receives a call from Jason Croft from Sirius. A doctor is needed to help Croft's wife, Princess Naya, resolve herself from the burden. Jason's son, also named Jason, is born. After the birth of a child and mother abducted by representatives of a hostile empire. Croft again uses knowledge of terrestrial technology to overcome the challenges it faces.

Description

The third novel in a series about the adventures of Jason Croft. The novel combines occultism (astral travels) with adventures on another planet. The fictional planet Palos in the Sirius system ("Dog Star") is described similar to Earth, and the people of the planet look like earthlings, but have a blue skin tone. Actions take place in a region similar to the Mediterranean, where three empires compete in terms of development corresponding to the Babylonian civilization in the history of the Earth [1] .

The critic writes that the hero of the book had too much superiority over the enemies. The use of earthlings and espionage using astral projection made the war dishonest. In combination with a meager and deprived description of the alien world, Pierce believes, this led to the third novel about Jason Croft becoming the last [2] .
