Successors is an American drama television series. The premiere took place on June 3, 2018 [1] . When creating the “Heirs”, Oscar winner Adam Mackay (“ Downgrade ”), comedian Will Ferrell and British screenwriter Jesse Armstrong (“In the thick of things ”) combined their efforts [2] . The prototype of the main character Logan Roy was the media magnate Rupert Murdoch [3] .

Content
Story
This is the saga of Roya, a fictional American family of media magnates. How rich and influential she is, as dysfunctional and unhappy. At its head is the imperious patriarch Logan Roy - a powerful but aging head of the international media conglomerate Waystar Royco. In the future, the eldest son should take over the management of the company, but first of all, the whole family will have to endure intrigue, betrayal and an open struggle for power [4] .

Production
A few years earlier, Jesse Armstrong wrote a script about Murdoch, imagining how the family of the media tycoon is going to the clan’s 78th birthday. The script attracted attention, but was never made into a movie [5] . Filming of the series “Heirs of Season 1” began in October 2017 in New York and continued in New Mexico, then in February 2018 - in New Jersey, where it was necessary to close the tunnel to Atlantic City, and in Eastnor Castle in England.
