Club career

In adult football, he made his debut in 1981 with performances for the team of the Botev club (Vratsa) , in which he spent seven seasons.

His game for this team attracted the attention of representatives of the coaching staff of the club CSKA (Sofia) , to which he joined in 1988. He played for the army from Sofia the next two seasons of his playing career. Most of the time spent in CSKA Sofia was the main goalkeeper of the team.

Subsequently, he began performing abroad, from 1990 to 1994, he played as part of Berlin “Dynamo” , Vienna “Austria” and Turkish club “Karshyaka” .

He completed a professional gaming career in Turkey, in the club "Denizlispor" , for the team which played during 1994-1995.

National team performances

In 1983 he made his debut in official matches in the national team of Bulgaria . During his career in the national team, which lasted 8 years, he played 31 matches in her uniform.

As part of the team was a member of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico [1] . At this tournament, as in general during a career in the national team, he was the backup goalkeeper, understudy of Borislav Mikhailov .
