Field's jaundice [1] [2] ( lat. Colias fieldii ) is a diurnal butterfly of the genus Colias from the whitewash family . The species name was given in honor of the Russian entomologist Heinrich Andreyevich Field (1822–1875), one of the authors of the first catalog of Lepidoptera of the Russian Empire .

DescriptionFore wing 21–26 mm long. Wingspan 50–64 mm. The outer edge of the wings is rounded. The wings are outside with a black border, which on the hind wings passes to the front edge. Sexual dimorphism is expressed in the color of the main background in females. On top are the front wings with a solid border, often cut by veins painted in the background color. Above are hind wings with a dark border passing to the front edge [1] .
