Content
History
Before the October Revolution, the street was called Sobornaya, according to St. Andrew's Cathedral located on it (more precisely, on Sobornaya Square). [one]
Geography
Karl Marx Street runs from north to south (according to the numbering of houses), connecting the streets of Uprising and Martynov between Zosimov Street and Lenin Avenue. It crosses from north to south: Kronstadt , Navy , Civil , Soviet streets, Bezymyanny lane , Veleshchinsky street, Surgin street, Martynov street .
The southern part of the street runs along the Obvodny Canal. From the side of the canal along it stretches a well-maintained boulevard. In the southern part of the boulevard, on the banks of the canal, there is a monument to the blockade stickleback . [2]

- On the odd side
- No. 9 (corner with Fleet Street) - the house of D. Fedulaeva, built in 1832-1833, an identified object of cultural heritage; [3]
- No. 13 (corner with Civil Street) - Gostiny Dvor , built in 1833-1835, architect V. S. Maslov, cultural heritage site of federal significance; [four]
- No. 13 (corner with Bezymyanny Lane) - the house of D. Nikitin, built in 1853, the editors of the newspaper Kronstadt Bulletin, a cultural heritage site; [five]
- No. 15 - the congress house of the Kupetsky unit, now the fire unit No. 46;
- No. 31 - Kronstadt District Court;
- No. 33 (corner with Martynova street) is a residential building of the late 18th century, an object of cultural heritage of regional significance.
- On the even side
- No. 4 (corner with Kronstadt street) - two houses of S. Korali, built in 1867 (architect F. I. Trapeznikov) and 1868 (architect I. Grechukhin), identified cultural heritage sites;
- No. 8 (goes to the corners with Vladimirskaya and Navy streets) - the residential building of the merchant Murashev, built in 1826-1827, an object of cultural heritage of regional significance; [6]
- No. 16 (corner with Sovetskaya Street) - The Maritime Library , built in 1910-1926, architect G. A. Kosyakov, an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. [7]
Transport
Public transport does not go down the street. In the middle of the street is the Gostiny Dvor stop of the 1Kr, 2Kr, K-405 buses on Sovetskaya Street. Transport follows parallel to Lenin Avenue.
