Pancakes (units of pancake [1] , from the Latin oleum - “butter” [2] ; also pampushkas [3] ) - thick soft bread made from wheat flour, fried in a pan [4] . The product is Russian , Belarusian and Ukrainian cuisines. The main difference between pancakes and pancakes is the size and thickness: pancakes are smaller in diameter but thicker.

Also today, fritters are often baked or fried using a mass of grated vegetables. For example: potato pancakes (draniki), zucchini fritters, onion pancakes ( tzabylniki ).
