Among Battista's poetic works (a total of about 55,000 verses) stand out such as “On the calamities of my time” (De suorum temporum calamitatibus: In 3 vol. Bologna, 1479), which presents paintings of hunger and plague , the Turkish threat and civil war , omnipotence of 7 deadly sins (“monsters”) and the expulsion of Virtue, calling for the unification of Christians; praise of the virginity of Mary (Parthenice mariana: In 3 t. Bologna, 1481), dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and 6 holy virgins - Catherine, Margarita, Agathia, Lucia, Apollonia and Cecilia; "Adolescence" (Adolescentia, seu Bucolica.
