History
In 1969, by a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of a subsidiary farm of the Veterinary College was renamed Karaagash [3] .
Geography
Karaagash is located in the southwestern part of the Caspian lowland on the right bank of the Volga River . The absolute height is 24 meters below sea level [1] .

According to the All-Russian Census in 2010 , the population was 239 people (120 men and 119 women, 50.2 and 49.8 %% respectively) [5] .
According to the results of the 2002 census , Russians accounted for 32% of the national population structure, Tatars 34%, Kazakhs 26% of the total population of 279 residents [6] .
