LXLE is a Linux distribution based on the latest version of Ubuntu / Lubuntu LTS, using the LXDE GUI [3] . LXLE is a lightweight distribution with a focus on visual aesthetics [1] , which works on both old and new equipment [4] .

In a January 2014 review in Full Circle Magazine , Gabriele Tettamanzi noted that LXLE has some minor localization problems, but described the distribution as “easy and fast” [5] .
