Evgeny Nikolaevich Pianov (November 21, 1972 Omsk , RSFSR , USSR - December 28, 1999 Omsk , Russia ) - Russian rock musician and guitarist of the Civil Defense rock band, one of the representatives of the Siberian Wave, recorded his album Last Year's Snow and tragically died in the winter of 1999.

Biography
Before starting a music career
After graduating from school, Makhno studied first at the Aviation College, then transferred to the Institute of Arts. In the early 90s, he worked for some time in a stall, selling cassettes, photographs and informal posters. Later they bought it. He loved spending time with friends at the Kozitsky Palace of Culture in Omsk . In 1991, he met with Oleg Manager Sudakov . Then in 1994, thanks to Oleg, I met Yegor Letov .
Participation in the Civil Defense Group and other projects
In 1994, Yevgeny Pyanov became the guitarist of the Civil Defense group of Yegor (Igor) Letov. He participated in the protest rock action "Russian Breakthrough" together with other members of the band as a guitarist of Grob and the Rodina band. In 1995 he took part in the recording of the album “ Solstice ”. In 1997, for 10 days, he recorded in his “ GroB Records ” his only album, entitled “Last Year's Snow,” which was released only after the death of Makhno. In creating the album, Eugene thanks Natalya Chumakova , Oleg Sudakov, Anna Volkova and his wife Olga. It included ten compositions, the author of which is Pyanov himself. All the songs in this collection were performed in the styles of psychedelic and garage rock. In the same year, Eugene helped record the collection “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” (1997), playing the button accordion (Nashi, So, The Unbearable Lightness of Being) and the guitar. In 1999, he again took part as a guitarist in the project of Konstantin Ryabinov Christos on the porch .
Death
In 1999, shortly before his death, Makhno together with the group took part in an anniversary tour in honor of the fifteenth anniversary of the rock band. The political party Labor Russia Viktor Anpilov was responsible for organizing the concerts. But at the very first performance in Moscow in the hall of the Avangard cinema, the audience uprooted the first 6 rows of seats, the party disowned the GO group and the tour was disrupted. Then Yegor Letov decided to give a concert in Izhevsk anyway. This performance is known as the “Most Drunken Civil Defense Concert”. It got this name due to the fact that Igor (Egor) himself was in a state of intoxication, like Evgeny Nikolaevich. Then they put the responsibility on Makhno to play solo, which he could not cope with.
On December 28, 1999, at the New Year’s Eve party, Evgeny Pyanov died after falling from the fourth floor. The exact circumstances are unknown. There is a version that this is an accident. Some say that he abused alcohol shortly before his death. According to the memoirs of the leader of the rock group, Makhno was expelled from the group for his constant presence in alcohol intoxication. He was delighted and said that he was finally "absolutely free."
Eugene was buried in the cemetery of the village Troitskoye.
Memory
May 1, 2000 in Omsk , in the club "Gaidar" a concert was held in memory of Makhno. Speakers: Oleg Lishchenko ( Peak Klaxon / Klaxon Gam), Oleg Manager Sudakov , Jackson, Dmitry Kuzmin ( Black Lukich ) and the Instructions for Survival , "Missing."
In 2013, Bull Terrier Records, an independent publisher, released a reissue of Last Year's Snow in 500 numbered copies.
The Russian rock band "In the Shadow of a Walrus" performed a song by Evgeni Makhno "Dostoevskaya" in memory of the guitarist.
