Baron Braoz

Baron Braose ( English Baron Braose ) - an old noble title, created twice in the system of Peer of England (in 1290 and 1342 ).

Content

History

The title was first created for William adé Braoz (1220–1291), who was called to parliament in April and May 1290 as Lord Braoz. He was succeeded by his eldest son from his first marriage, William de Braoz, 2nd Baron Braoz (1261-1326), who was called to Parliament on December 29, 1299 as Lord Braoz . After his death in 1326, the baronial title was interrupted.

A second title was created for Thomas de Braoz (1302–1361), who was called to parliament on February 25, 1342 as Lord Braoz . After the death of the 5th Baroness Braoz in 1399, the baronial title was also interrupted.

  • William de Braoz, 1st Baron Braoz (1220 - January 6, 1291), the eldest son of John de Braoz, 7th Baron Bramber (1198-1232)
  • William de Braoz, 2nd Baron Braoz (1261-1326), the eldest son of the previous one.

Barons of Braoz (1342)

  • Thomas de Braoz, 1st Baron Braoz (September 8, 1302 - June 9/16, 1361), son of Sir Peter Braoz (c. 1272–1311 / 1312), grandson of William de Braoz, 1st Baron Braoz
  • John de Braoz, 2nd Baron Braoz (c. 1339 - February 3, 1367), eldest son of the previous
  • Thomas de Braoz, 3rd Baron Braoz (c. 1352 - September 2, 1395), younger brother of the previous
  • Thomas de Braoz, 4th Baron Braoz (August 26, 1395 - October 7, 1395), the only son of the previous
  • Elizabeth de Say, 5th Baroness Braoz (February 24, 1365/1366 - July 8, 1399), daughter of William de Say, 3rd Lord Say (1340–1375), and Beatrice de Braoz, daughters of Thomas de Braoz, 1st Baron Braoz.
