  • According to the results of the "European Song Contest", all participants received an equal number of points. Perhaps this is an allusion to the situation with the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest , in which representatives of four countries won at once.
  • The “Interview with Mrs. Fripp” sketch partially repeats the parody sketch “Radio Times” shown in one of the 1968 episodes. [2]

  • One of the participants in the parody “Chance is Knocking on the Door”, also played by Hill, sings the subsequently famous song “Ernie (The Fastest Milkman In The West)”. Ironically, Benny Hill died at the age of 68, like the character of this song. [9]

  • Portable TV Set is a remake of Benny Hill's Transistor Radio, released in 1961. The authors of the song were Hill and the British composer and producer Tony Hatch (real name is Anthony Peter Hatch, born 1939; on the disc is designated under the pseudonym "Mark Anthony"). In the television version, Hill mimics the leading role in the detective series Ironside, Raymond Barra (the rest of the series are mimicked by Pat Ashton, Bob Todd and Jimmy Thompson), as well as television presenters Clement Freud (1924–2009) and Jess Yates (1918–1993) and a participant The Ladybirds trio Maggie Stradder (the other two members are Jimmy Thompson and Bob Todd). On the disc, Hill parodied Alvin ( Alvin and the Chipmunks ), Elvis Presley (with allusions to the songs Are You Lonesome Tonight and Wooden Heart), the announcer of the Weather Forecast for Ships program and the American singer Jimmy Jones (1937-2012).
