Clubmen ( English Clubmen ) - participants in the peasant movement in England in March - November 1645 during the English Revolution , the third force of the English Civil War , equally hostile to cavaliers and round-headed . Klobmen represented peasant self-defense detachments from the western counties. They demanded the abolition of the copyigold . Klobmen acted in small armed groups, and their total number reached 50 thousand people [1] . They were defeated at the end of 1645 by a parliamentary army led by Ferfax sent by Oliver Cromwell .
