Tisba pest [1] [2] , or oak pest [2] , ( Latin Neptis thisbe ) is a diurnal butterfly from the family Nimfalid .

Description
Front wing length: males 30–35 mm, females 33–40 mm. Wingspan 55-85 mm. The background color of the wings is black-brown. All spots and sling on the wings are yellow. The central cell of the front wing is crossed by a longitudinal yellow stripe, slightly widening at the apex. The rear wing has a wide yellow band and a blurred ocher band in the near edge region. The teeth at the rear edge of the rear wing are covered with a bloom of yellowish scales. Sexual dimorphism is not pronounced — the female is no different in color and pattern from the male. However, the female is larger, with wider wings. The underside of the wings of the wings is bright and contrasting. On the back wing, a bluish-gray basal smear at the apex is divided in two, and additional spots are visible in the cells below it. Another grayish spot is crowned with a bright mid-band (the second cell from the front edge of the wing) [1] .

Biology
Develops for the year in one generation. Flight time is from the end of June to August. Butterflies are found in deciduous and mixed forests. There are often. The caterpillar feeds on Mongolian oak , winters. Then it is active in the second half of May, in the beginning of June it pupates on the branches [2] .
