Catherine Barbarou ( born Catherine Barbaroux ; April 1, 1949) is a French statesman. Acting Chairman of the Forward, Republic! Political Movement "(2017), after Emmanuel Macron became president of France.

Early life
Katherine was born on April 1, 1949. [2] Her parents came from Spain, and her grandparents worked as miners in Asturias [3] . Her father was a member of the French Communist Party .
Career
She worked as an adviser to the Secretary of Commerce from 1981 to 1986. She also worked in the personnel service from 1986 to 1993. She worked as Minister Advisor for Ministers Martin Aubrey , Elizabeth Giguot , Francois Fillon and Jean-Louis Borloa from 1999 to 2005. She joined the regional council from Ile de France in 2005, later becoming a director of services. She was also the president of the Pur Le Association from 2011 to 2017 on the right to support economic initiatives, a labor organization.
In May August 2017 she was the acting party “ Forward, Republic! " [4] [5] [6] [7] .
