Jamel Tlemsani ( Arabic: جمال تلمسانی ; French: Djamel Tlemçani ; April 16, 1955 , Medea , Algeria ) is an Algerian footballer who played as a midfielder for the Algerian national team and a number of clubs.

Club career

He began his football career at home in the Beluizdad club, with which he won the Algerian Cup following the 1977/78 season.

In 1979 he moved to the French Reims from the 2nd division, in which he spent three seasons and took part in 75 championship matches. Most of the time spent in Reims was the main player and one of the team's top scorers, with an average performance of 0.41 goals per championship game.

Since 1979, he played for the French major league clubs: Rouen and Toulon , and in the 1985/86 season he played for the Swiss La Chaux-de-Fonds .

Later he played for the French minor league clubs: “Camper”, “ Rennes ”, “Vilcrain” and “ Lorient ”. With performances for the last club, Jamel completed his professional career as a football player in 1990 .

Team Career

As part of the national team of Algeria, he participated in the 1982 World Cup in Spain [2] . She also became a semi- finalist in the 1982 African Cup of Nations .
