Sergei Pavlovsky ( August 21, 1846 , Moscow - January 17, 1915 , Moscow ) is a Russian opera and chamber singer (lyric baritone ), at various times a soloist of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theaters. Director , author of many librettos and translations.

Biography
Born in Moscow. The husband of E.Pavlovskaya . In 1869 he moved from the 2nd course of the mathematical faculty of St. Petersburg University to the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he studied singing in the class of K. Everardi. After graduating from the Conservatory in 1873, he and his wife went to Italy, where he sang with great success for three years in Kremo, Rabin and Turin, then on the island of Malta. From 1876 he performed in the Kiev Opera (entreprise of I.Setov, until 1879), Kharkov (1879–1880), and Tiflis (1882–1883). In 1883–1885 and 1888–1896 he was a soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater, in 1885–1888 of the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater (made his debut in Figaro - The Barber of Seville by J. Rossini). He had a small voice beautiful timbre.
