Karuzela

Karuzela ( Polish. Karuzela - carousel) is a Polish satirical and humorous magazine, published twice a week. It was published in Lodz from 1956 to 1992.

History

The name of the magazine is a reference to the periodical Karuzela. Which appeared in Lodz before the war (1936-1939). Obrazkowy tygodnik przygód ciekawych i wesołych ”( Polish. “ Carousel. Illustrated weekly of fun and interesting adventures ” ).
Another (except for " Shpilek ") nationwide magazine of satire and humor, published in the Polish People’s Republic . The printing quality of Karuzela was worse than that of Shpilek: the magazine was published on newsprint of A4 format. [one]
"Carousel" ceased to appear in 1992. Now coming out as an appendix to the periodical Express Wieczorny .
At different times, the Polish science fiction writer and satirist Jacek Savashkevich (1947-1999), cartoonists Stanislav (Ibis) Gratkowski (1923-1988), Marian Matoha (b. 1935), Julian Zhebrowski (1915-2002) worked as a graphic artist. Ignaci Bull (b. 1940), comic book author Jerzy Wrublewski (1941-1991) and others.
