Rig-Rig ( fr. Rig-Rig ) is a city and suprefecture in Chad , located in the Kanem region. It is part of the North Kanem department.

Geographical position
The city is located in the western part of Chad, northeast of Lake Chad , at an altitude of 307 meters above sea level [1] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 243 kilometers north-northwest (NNW) from the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the official census of 2009, the population of Riga was 31,498 people (16,177 men and 15,321 women). The population of the prefecture according to the age range was as follows: 46.9% - residents under 15 years old, 47.6% - between 15 and 59 years old and 5.5% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
