Geographical position
The village is located in the western part of Chad, on the border of the Sahel and Sahara , at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level [1] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 242 kilometers northeast (NNE) from the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the 2009 official census, the population of Wajigi was 1,760 people (836 men and 924 women). The population of the prefecture by age range was as follows: 50.3% - residents under 15 years old, 44.8% - between 15 and 59 years old and 4.9% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
