Johann Friedrich Pudor ( German: Johann Friedrich Pudor ; June 1, 1835 , Debitz, now part of the city of Tauch - October 9, 1887 , Dresden ) - German music teacher.
Born in the family of an entrepreneur, owner of mills. He studied at the School of St. Thomas and the University of Leipzig , studied music under the direction of Emil Leonhard . In 1859, he bought from Friedrich Thöstler the conservatory founded by the latter. For musical leadership of the institution, Pudor invited Julius Ritz , after his death, this post was transferred to Franz Wülner , and in 1884 to Adolf Hagen . In 1881, thanks to the efforts of Pudor, King Albert awarded the Conservatory the title of Royal. By the mid-1880s, the number of students reached 800; almost 90 teachers worked with them. After the death of Pudor, the leadership of the conservatory passed to his son Henry .
Cavalier of the Order of the Saxe-Ernestine House 1st class (1883) and the Saxon Order of Albrecht of the same degree (1886).
