Biography

Born in Korkino, after some time the family moved to Bratsk , lived in a loose temporary hut, later they were given an apartment in the village of Energetik (now part of the Padunsky district of the city of Bratsk, Irkutsk region) [1] .

After graduation, he tried to enter Novosibirsk University , but received an unsatisfactory grade for his essay. He entered the Faculty of Mathematics of Irkutsk State University, where he graduated in 1978 (majoring in mathematics [3] ), after which until 1982 he was an assistant at the Department of Algorithmic Languages ​​and Programming at ISU. In 1982-1985 - graduate student of ISU, in 1985-1988 - assistant of the department of asymptotic methods and mechanics of ISU. In 1988-2003 - Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Mathematical Statistics and Probability Theory, ISU. 2003 to the present - Head of the Department of Probability Theory and Discrete Mathematics, ISU [2] . In combination, he works as a mathematics teacher at the Lyceum of ISU [4] . In 2005, he was awarded the title of professor in the department of probability theory and discrete mathematics [3] .

From November 1993 to January 1994 (8 weeks), he trained at Kiel University (Germany) [3] .

In 1990 he defended his thesis on “Combinatorial numbers and polynomials in the distributions of sums of discrete random variables” [5] . In 2002 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Generalized Pascal Pyramids and their Applications" [6] [3] .

Recognition and Rewards

Member of the Irkutsk regional branch of the scientific and methodological council for mathematics [7] . He was a member of the dissertation council D 212.074.01 at Irkutsk State University [2] .

Scientific editor of the annual collection of scientific papers "Problems of the educational process in innovative schools" (Issues 1-18, 1996-2013), executive editor (1996) of the inter-university collection of scientific papers "Asymptotic and enumeration problems of combinatorial analysis", editor-in-chief (since 2003), the Baikal Psychological and Pedagogical Journal, editor-in-chief (since 2006) of the series of scientific works Discrete Analysis and Computer Science [3] .

He was the head of the research group of the Irkutsk MION in the interregional network project "Higher School - School" [3] .

His research interests are combinatorial methods of discrete mathematics and probability theory, enumerative and algorithmic problems of combinatorial analysis and methods of teaching mathematics [3] . The leader of the Irkutsk combinatorial school. The author of more than 190 scientific papers, including 4 monographs. Prepared 10 candidates of science [2] .

Other activities

The author of three collections of poems, a number of literary and philosophical articles. Candidate for master of sports in chess. [1] .

Family

Father is an assistant to the driver, there is a brother and sister. Wife - Kuzmina Elena Yuryevna, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, director of the lyceum of ISU [4] ; son Sergey [1] .
