Content
Biography
He studied at the Suvorov School [1] . In 1962 he graduated from secondary school No. 15 in Angarsk with a gold medal and entered the Faculty of Mathematics of Irkutsk State University, which he graduated in 1967, receiving a diploma with honors [3] . After that, he entered graduate school at the same faculty, graduating in 1970 with a doctoral thesis defense (Institute of Mathematics, Academy of Sciences of the BSSR, Minsk, scientific leaders: Prof. O. Vasiliev , Prof. R. F. Gabasov [3] ) on “Special controls in optimal systems” [3] .
1970-1972 - Senior Lecturer, Department of Computational Mathematics, ISU. In the years 1972-1976 - Associate Professor of the Department of Methods of Optimization ISU In 1976–2000 he was the head of the department of computational mathematics at the ISU [3] .
In 1988, at the Leningrad State University, he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “Variational maximum principle and phase linearization methods in optimal control problems” in the specialty 01.01.09: “Discrete Mathematics and Mathematical Cybernetics” [6] .
In 2000—2015 - Head of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Mechanics, ISU. In 2003–2008 - Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Economics and Informatics, ISU. In 2003—2013 - Chairman of the dissertation council D 212.074.01 at the Irkutsk State University. In 2015 to the present (2017) - Professor of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Optimization, ISU [5] .
Recognition and awards
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1229 of September 14, 1999, Vladimir Srochko was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation ” [7] . Corresponding Member of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education [5] [3] . Member of the Irkutsk Regional Branch of the Scientific and Methodological Council on Mathematics [8] .
Awards:
- Badge "For excellent success in work" of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR (1988)
- Certificate of Merit of the Head of the Administration of the Irkutsk Region for significant achievements in the training of specialists and research activities (1993),

- Diploma of the Mongolian State University for many years of fruitful joint research with Mongolian scientists (2003) [1] .
Scientific Activities
He studies the theories and methods of optimal control of the processes described by differential equations (ordinary dynamical systems, hyperbolic systems with distributed parameters) [5] .
The author of six textbooks and courses of lectures, five monographs, over 160 scientific papers. Prepared 9 candidates of science. Member of the editorial board of the journal “News of universities. Mathematics "," Proceedings of the Irkutsk State University. Series "Mathematics". He was a member of dissertation councils at the Irkutsk State University (deputy chairman, chairman) and the Institute of System Dynamics and Control Theory SB RAS [5] .
