Short Biography
In 1970-1975, he studied at the Rangga Jempol studio under the direction of Barley Sasmitavinata. In 1993-1995. practiced in Europe ( Holland , Germany , France ). Since 1998 he worked in the studio "Red Point" (Bandung) [1] .
Creativity
Among the most notable works are “Lion Dance” (2000), “Abstract Bandung” (2002), “Silver Landscape” (2015), “Unity” (2015) [2] . In addition to abstract paintings, he is also known as a master of graphics.
He held six solo exhibitions: in 1994 (Ubud, Bali ), 1998 ( Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia), 1999 ( Jakarta ), 2000 ( Bandung ), 2002 ( Jakarta ), 2013 ( Bandung ). In addition, he participated in more than 30 collective exhibitions in Indonesia, Holland, Malaysia, the USA, South Korea, Singapore [3] .
In 1979, he participated in the cult exhibition of the movement “New Painting” (Seni Rupa Baru) , presenting a composition of broken chairs [2] . June 17, 2005 became a signatory to the Jakarta manifesto of abstract artists - a movement that began to hold its exhibitions annually in Jakarta [4] . In 1996-2000 took part in the International Festival of Arts in Ipo (Malaysia), in 2016 - at the International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Langkawi [5] .
