Geography

The village is located in the northern part of the region, on the right bank of the Yaya River, near the confluence of the Kolyon River, at a distance of about 20 kilometers (in a straight line) to the north-northwest (NNW) from the district center of the urban-type settlement Yaya . The absolute height is 129 meters above sea ​​level [3] .

History

The village was founded in 1626 [1] . In the 1868 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire, the settlement was mentioned as the treasury village of Verkhne-Velikoselskaya ( Kislova ) of the Mariinsky District (1st section) on the Yaya River, located 121 versts from the district center of Mariinsk . There were 30 yards in the village and 233 people lived (117 men and 106 women) [5] . In 1911, in the village of Verkhne-Velikoselskaya , belonging to the Kolyonsky volost of the Mariinsky district , there were 79 yards and 496 people (262 men and 234 women). Functioned a bread store and school of the Ministry of Education [6] .

According to the data of 1926, there were 127 households and 690 people lived (mainly Russians). The first-level school functioned. Administratively, the village was the center and the only settlement of the Verkhne-Velikoselsky village council of the Ishim district of the Tomsk district of the Siberian region [1] .
