Oleg Anatolyevich Vereshchagin (March 18, 1991, Yalutorovsk , Tyumen Region ) is a Russian biathlete , champion and winner of the Russian Biathlon and Summer Biathlon Championships . Master of Sports of Russia (2010).

Biography

Pupil of the Youth Sports School in Yalutorovsk, the first trainers - A. Ya. Snipich, V. N. Saveliev [1] . Represented the Tyumen region and the TsSP in the city of Tyumen, coaches - S. A. Zolnikov, M. V. Kugaevsky.

He won the prizes of the championship of Russia in biathlon (2010) and summer biathlon (2011) among juniors [2] .

In 2012, he became a two-time bronze medalist of the Russian Summer Biathlon Championships in the individual race [3] and relay race [4] . He was recognized as the best athlete of the Tyumen region in September 2012 [5] .

In the winter biathlon in 2013, he became the champion of Russia in the team race and the bronze medalist in the mixed relay. He became the medalist of the stages of the Russian Cup in the relay [6] .

At the end of the 2012/13 season, he completed his sports career. As of 2015, he served in the army, in the railway troops [7] .

He graduated from the Tyumen State Oil and Gas University .
