Glenview is a village located in Cook County, Illinois , about 3 miles from the borders of the city of Chicago. According to the US Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 44692 people. Currently, the population is approximately 47,475 inhabitants [2] .

Geography
The total area of the village in 2010 was 36.24 km 2 , of which 36.13 km 2 (99.7%) is land, and 0.11 km 2 (0.3%) is water bodies [3] . On the southeast side is the bay into which the Middle Fork River flows, the northern tributary of the Chicago River .
History
The name of the village was chosen by its residents on May 7, 1895 at a general vote. A large area of Glenview was reserved for plowing, but after the Second World War, the activities of entrepreneurs gave the village the appearance of a suburb. In 1997, the last family of farmers put up their property for sale [4] .
