Efrat Mishori (2015)

Efrat Mishori ( Heb. אפרת מישורי ; b. May 5, 1964 , Tiberias ) - Israeli poetess and filmmaker.

During the 1990s acted as an art and poetic critic, including in the newspaper Ha'aretz and Ma'ariv . In 2006, she received a doctorate in literature at Tel Aviv University , submitting a dissertation examining the image of Tel Aviv in the works of the poet . In 1989—2014 was married to artist , have a son.

In 1988 she released a collection of poems for children with her own illustrations. She debuted as a poet in 1994, publishing a two-volume collection of poems on her own. The book was highly appreciated by critics [1] . Later published six more books of poetry. Since 1996 she has performed with the author's show “I am a Poetry Mannequin”, which included, along with verses, elements of video art.

Since 2014, Mishori has also been involved in cinema. After several short films, she debuted in 2018 with the full-length film Death of a Poetess (with Dana Goldberg).

In 2001 she was awarded the Israeli literary . In 2018 she became the laureate of the international festival “Poetry without Borders” in Riga [2] .
