Biography
Born in a handicraft family. In the years 1911-1915 he studied at the madrasah . Later in the Russian-Tatar gymnasium. In 1921 he graduated from the Oriental Institute in Orenburg . He worked as a teacher since 1922, conducted cultural and educational work in the Donbass , since 1929 he lived in Kazan.

He made his debut as a poet in 1918. He paid tribute to formalistic hobbies, but from the mid-1920s he began to write in a realistic manner. The work of A. Fayzi is multifaceted - he is a poet, prose writer, playwright, children's writer, publicist.
The poem “Flutes” (1933) on the intellectual pursuit of the intelligentsia was a great success; the ballad “Desert and Man” (1936) on the moral stamina of Soviet man, “Why the Black Stone is silent” (1940) dedicated to V. I. Lenin .
The author of many poetry collections. His poems are musical, many Tatar composers used them as the poetic basis of their songs and romances.
For many years he studied the life and work of G. Tukai . He penned the drama "Tukay" (1938), published the first part of the novel "Tukay" about the poet (1952), wrote ballads.
The author of the libretto of the operas Kachkyn (The Fugitive, 1939) and Jalil (music by N. Zhiganov , 1957), the musical comedy The Seagulls D. Fayzi (1944), created the libretto of the first Tatar ballet Shurale (Leshiy) ) F. Yarullina (1945) based on the poetic tales of Tukay; the ballets Kisekbash (The Severed Head) by Gubaidullin (1958).
