Content
Geography
The gerbil is located 4 km from the city of Stary Oskol , west of the city. The Stary Oskol-Rzhava railway passes through the village and there is a railway station, Yozdotskaya. The Oskolets River flows on the southwestern outskirts of the village.
Climate
The village is located in the forest-steppe zone . The relief is a hilly plain. The climate is temperate continental with cold winters and warm summers.
History
At the end of the XVIII century, in 1794, on the left bank of the Oskolets river, free Cossacks settled in the number of three yards: Malakhovs, Chunikhins, Seleznevs, immigrants from the settlement of the Cossack Starooskolsky district of the Kursk region. Until 1862 it is known as the village of Peschanaya Pristan, and after it was renamed Peschanka [2] .
In 1905, the Peschansky distillery was built with private funds. In 1910, the first school was built.
In July 1928, Peschanka became part of the formed Starooskolsky district .
From July 3, 1942 to February 5, 1943, the territory of the village was in the zone of occupation . In February 1943, Soviet troops liberated the village from Nazi troops. After the liberation of the territory from the German invaders, they began to restore the destroyed economy. In particular, in March 1943, the Peschansky distillery began to be restored.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 6, 1954, the Belgorod Region was formed, which included the Starooskolsky District.
In the 1950s the village of Peschanka was part of the Cossack Village Council of the Stary Oskol District. In the 1970s The gerbil again becomes the center of the Peschansky village council.
On September 1, 1969, a new school was opened. In 1983, the Peschansky House of Culture was opened. In 1983, construction began on the Peschansky dry feed yeast plant. In 1990, the Veterans House was opened in the village [3] .

Infrastructure
In 1995, Peschanskoye joint-stock company and Peschanskoye alcohol company, a dry yeast factory, Oskolets joint-stock company, 16 farms, a cultural center, a library, a secondary school, and an obstetric center operated in Peschanka. In 1997, Peschanka was the center of the Peschansky rural district in the Starooskolsky district of the Belgorod region.
