Sadkovsky ravine

Sadkovsky ravine is a small river in the Orekhovo-Borisovo South area of ​​the southern administrative district of Moscow , the upper left tributary of the Shmelevka [1] . The exact origin of the name is not known. Perhaps, the ravine received its name from the surname Sadkov. Also hydronym can occur from the word "cages", which was called ponds for breeding fish or settlements in such reservoirs [2] [3] [4] .

The former length of the river was 1.6 km [5] . The source was located at the intersection of Yeletskaya and Yaseneva streets . As of the beginning of 2018, the upper reaches are filled up, the watercourse has been preserved for 770 meters. The river bed begins and passes through a forested ravine. A constant current is established in the lower reaches of Tambovskaya Street . The mouth is located 350 meters east of the intersection of Yaseneva and Voronezhskaya streets . To the south of Voronezhskaya Street, the river is blocked [5] .
