Ivan Emanuilovich Kuruta (1780-1853) - Russian statesman, senator , privy councilor (1840). Vladimir Governor (1827-1832 and 1836-1842). The nephew of the general from the infantry of Count D. D. Kuruta [1] .

Biography
From the noble clan of Kurut , descending from the Greek nobility, this clan was included in the third part of the genealogy of the Tauride province [2] .
Since 1796, after graduating from the cadet corps, he was promoted to officer . In 1826, a state councilor . From 1827 to 1832 and from 1836 to 1842 he was Vladimir Governor . From 1832 to 1836 he was a member of the Council of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Empire . In 1829 he was promoted to full state councilor , in 1840 to privy councilor .
Since 1842, the senator is present in the Second, Seventh and Eighth departments of the Governing Senate , an auditor from the Senate in the Tambov province . He was awarded all Russian orders up to the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky , granted to him in 1853.
He died in Moscow on July 16, 1853. He was buried in the cemetery of the Donskoy Monastery .
