Beatsteaks is a punk rock band from Berlin founded in 1995 . With their debut album “Launched” in 1999 , they became the first German band on Epitaph Records . At the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2004, they received the award as the best German band. The Beatsteaks debuted for the American public on MTV's Viva La Bam television show and appeared on Viva La Bands with the song “I Don't Care as Long as You Sing”. And also their songs fell on the collections of Punk-O-Rama . On March 30, 2007, Limbo Messiah came out and reached third place on the German charts. The release of the latest album, titled “Boombox”, took place on January 28, 2011.
