Description
Fore wing length 28–35 mm. The front wings are olive-brown in color, with a pattern of light and dark longitudinal stripes and with a yellowish-white curved strip running diagonally from the top of the wing to its inner edge. The hind wings are pink in color, with black bandages and black veins. The fringe of the wings is white.

Range
Africa , Central and South Asia, India , Sri Lanka . It occurs as a migrant in Southern and Central Europe, Crimea and Australia .
Biology
Polyvoltaic view. The caterpillar is brown in color, sometimes green. On the IV and V segments of the body there are "eyes" with a white spot in the middle. From the VI to XI segments, a lighter line runs along the sides. Respiratory yellow with a black rim. The horn at the end of the body is thin, almost straight. Caterpillar feed plants: Vitis , Cissus , Impatiens and Arum .
