The Skate America 2018 Tournament is the first stage of the 2018-2019 Figure Skating Grand Prix . The competition was held for the second time in the US city of Everett from October 19 to 21, 2018 [1] . The tournament is organized by the United States Figure Skating Association with the support of ISU . Athletes performed in the following categories: men's and women's singles, pair figure skating and ice dancing .

Failed Members
- Soon after the distribution of the athletes in stages, the Chinese sports couple Yu Xiaoyu and Zhang Hao made a statement that they miss the first part of the season because of a partner’s illness [2] . This pair will be replaced by athletes from Germany Minerva-Fabinne Gase and Nolan Segert .
- In mid-July, it became known that the South Korean dance couple Jura Ming and Alexander Gamelin would not take part in the Grand Prix stages of the current season. The reason is caused by the decay of the couple at the request of the partner [3] .
- In early August, a message came that the Slovak single Nicole Rayichova had withdrawn from the competition. Her Canadian substitute Alain Chartran will replace her.
- In mid-August, it became known that Canadian Kevin Reynolds will replace Belgian loner Yorick Hendrix [4] .
