Geography

Fedoseevka is located in the central part of Russia , on the southern slopes of the Central Russian Upland . It is the northern edge of the Belgorod region, the north-eastern edge of the city of Stary Oskol . From north to south, the village stretches along the intercity highway, from east to west - along the Oskol River . The distance to Stary Oskol is 7 km.

History

The village received its name by the name of the son of the boyar Fedosey Nikodimovich Malykhin, and during the second half of the XVII century was called “Fedoseevskoe estate of the Riding settlement” [2] .

In the 19th century it was part of the Starooskolsky district of the Kursk province .

Soviet power in Fedoseevka was established in December 1917 . In the summer of 1918, they began to organize committees of the rural poor ( kombedy ). In 1929, collective farms were organized on the territory of the Fedoseevsky village council. In 1929–1932, 125 horses and 15 bulls were socialized. The land area was 1,500 hectares [3] .

Since July 1928, Fedoseevka became the center of the Fedoseevsky Village Council of the newly formed Stary Oskol District [2] .

In the summer of 1942, Fedoseevka was subjected to occupation, and on January 27, 1943, the villages of Kaplino and Fedoseevka were liberated from the Nazi invaders. Freeing the village, killed 150 people from 2 divisions.

After the war, the restoration of the destroyed economy began. In 1950, by decision of the Central Committee of the CPSU , the consolidation of collective farms was carried out. In the village of Fedoseevka, one collective farm, the Zavet Ilyich, was formed. In 1970, the collective farm "Testament of Ilyich" was renamed the state farm "Starooskolsky".

In the 1950s, Fedoseevka was a member of the Kaplinsky Village Soviet ; in the 1970s, it was again the center of the Fedoseev village council, which also included 5 villages, the Lipyagi farm and the village of Nabokino [2] .

The further development of the village is connected with the formation of the Oskolsky reservoir, which ensures the vital activity of Lebedinsky GOK . Until 1974, the villages of Zhukovo, Krasny Kusty, and Luga were located on the site of the reservoir. In 1974, these villages were demolished, and their inhabitants moved to Fedoseevka. For the residents of these villages new houses were built, the number of people in Fedoseevka increased.

In 1974, a kindergarten was built in the village of Fedoseevka, a Soviet-Bulgarian brigade took part in its construction. Financed construction Lebedinsky GOK. In 1982 a music school was built in the village of Fedoseevka.

Since 1997, Fedoseevka has been the center of the Fedoseevsky rural district (2 villages, a farm and a village) in the Starooskolsky district of the Belgorod region.

October 11, 2009, Archbishop of Belgorod and Starooskolsky John consecrated a foundation stone in honor of the future church in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The initiator of the construction was the well-known Old Oaks, an athlete Fedor Emelianenko . On October 11, 2012 , on the eve of the great church feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Metropolitan of Belgorod and Starooskolsky John consecrated the Pokrovsky Church in Fedoseevka [4] .
