Flooding in the UK ( 2007 ) is one of the most devastating floods in the UK in national history.
The United Kingdom National Meteorological Service reported that between May and July 22, 2007, the average rainfall in England and Wales was 387.6 mm. Such a rainfall has not been observed since the beginning of regular meteorological observations (since 1766). In particular, in June, 103.1 mm fell in Filingdale ( North Yorkshire ) in June, and a record rainfall was recorded at Pershore College [1] , Worcestershire , in the west of England, where on the day of July 20, 2007 120.8 mm of precipitation fell (according to other sources, 142.2 mm).
