Biography
She received her first education at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy , where she became a master of environmental sciences. Then she studied at Indiana University in Bloomington , USA , there she received a master's degree in international public finance and trade.
From 1998 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2003, she held the positions of Economic Policy Advisor and External and Corporate Relations Manager at the American Private Equity Fund Western NIS Enterprise Fund (now managed by Horizon Capital), and in 2000 she practiced in the United States World Bank [2] [3] .
Since 2015, Oksana Markarova moved to the public sector of the economy .
From March 2015 to April 2016 she held the position of Deputy Minister-Head of Staff of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
On April 29, 2016, with the advent of the new government , she was appointed to the post of First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine [4] .
June 8, 2018, in connection with the dismissal of Alexander Danilyuk [5] , was appointed acting Minister of Finance of Ukraine by order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman [6] [7] .
On November 22, 2018, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine was approved for the position, 242 deputies voted for her appointment in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (225 if necessary) [8] .
