Khalil Ibrahim al-Zayani ( Arabic: خليل الزياني ; May 21, 1947 , Dammam ) is a former Saudi footballer and coach, most of whose career is related to Al-Ittifak club.

Khalil Ibrahim al-Zayani played for Al-Ittifak club from his hometown in 1962-1973.
Coaching career
Khalil Ibrahim al-Zayani's coaching career has also been linked to Al-Ittifak . In March 1984, he went to Oman , where he replaced the three-time world champion, Brazilian specialist Mario Zagallo , who was fired after the defeat from Iraq , as head coach of the Saudi team . This rearrangement took place during the Persian Gulf Cup of Nations , and the team under the leadership of a new mentor won two victories and tied in the remaining matches of the tournament, taking the final third place. Then, Al-Zayani led the team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , where she finished last in the group, losing all three matches.
In October 1984, Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Az-Zayani, confidently won the 1984 Asian Cup qualifying group, winning all four matches with a total score of 19: 0, which allowed the team to debut at the continental championship. Moreover, the Saudis won in the final tournament, becoming Asian champions [1] .
