Biography
Born in 1936 in the village of Berezovo. Member of the CPSU.
Since 1955 - on economic, social and political work. In 1957 he entered the Voronezh Agricultural Institute , where he graduated in 1962 and was sent to work on the Druzhba collective farm in the Pavlovsky district as chief livestock specialist. In 1968, collective farmers unanimously elected Kotov as their chairman. In 1955 - 2002 - collective farmer, chief livestock specialist, chairman of the collective farm, breeding factory "Friendship" Pavlovsky district of the Voronezh region, the head of the "red-and-white" dairy breed of cows.
In 2003, the Druzhba breeding plant took first place among Russian farms engaged in breeding of red-pedigree cattle.
He was elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of the 10th and 11th convocations.
Honorary citizen of the Voronezh region.
He died on May 8, 2006 in the village of Pokrovka, Pavlovsky District, Voronezh Region.
He was buried on May 10, 2006 at the Pokrovsky rural cemetery in the village of Pokrovka.
