Degtyarev, Pavel Mikhailovich

Born July 19, 1921 in the village. Stepmother of Kikvidzen district of Volgograd region. In 1937 he graduated from the 8th grade of the Maceshan school and joined the Harvest collective farm. Member of the CPSU.

In 1939, the board of the collective farm sent him to study at the Nikolaev agricultural school for accounting courses. After completing the courses in November 1940, the Nikolaev RVK was drafted into the Navy of the city of Sevastopol. In the training squad received a specialty steering ship. In February 1941, he was sent to the destroyer "Dzerzhinsky" as a helmsman, in May - to the training detachment for foreman courses, where he found the Great Patriotic War.

That night he was on duty and, on the orders of the company commander, had to announce a combat alert. Until September 1941, he participated in hostilities near Sevastopol.

In September, volunteers joined the 3rd Marine Volunteer Regiment for landing in the amount of 1617 people near the city of Odessa. The landing was successful, it was possible to expand the bridgehead within 30 km. From October 1941 to November 19, 1941 he participated in the defense of Sevastopol, where he was seriously wounded. On March 20, 1942, a disabled person of the 2nd group was demobilized, and in January 1944 he was again drafted into the Navy non-combatant and enlisted in 376 separate engineering and construction battalion.

In June 1946, he was demobilized and worked until January 1949 as an accountant for the Harvest collective farm. On January 24 of the same year, he was elected chairman of the collective farm, where he worked until February 21, 1987. Released from work due to retirement.

For participation in the hostilities during the Great Patriotic War, Pavel Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, medals "For Military Merit", "For the Defense of Odessa", "For the Defense of Sevastopol", "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War".

In the post-war period, 2 orders of Lenin, an order of the October Revolution, 4 medals of VDNH, the medal "Veteran of Labor" decorated the chest of Pavel Mikhailovich.
