Stacey Lynn Lovelace ( born Tolbert ); born December 5, 1974 in Detroit , Michigan , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who played for the Women's National Basketball Association . She did not stand as a candidate for the 1999 VNBA draft , however, until the start of the next season, she signed a contract with the Seattle Storm club. She played the role of a heavy forward and center . At the end of her playing career, she joined the Michigan Wolverins NCAA coaching staff. Recently, she worked as an assistant to the head coach of the Auckland Golden Grizzlies student team.
