Barbara Janine Farris ( born Barbara Janine Farris ; born September 10, 1976 in Harvey , Louisiana , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who played in the women's national basketball association . She did not stand as a candidate for the 1999 VNBA draft , but even before the start of the next season she entered into an agreement with the Detroit Shock club. Played as a heavy forward and center . While still an active player, she entered the coaching staff of her native NCAA team Tulane Green Wave . He currently works as an assistant to the head coach of the New York Liberty home team.
