Shavyrin Valery Mikhailovich

Born on January 27, 1953 in the city of Sukhoi Log, Sverdlovsk Region. He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering. He became interested in the chess composition at the age of 15.

He is the international grandmaster in chess composition, the world champion in the three-way section in the period 2001-2003 , the vice-world champion in the multi-way section for the same period, the four-time world champion in the Russian team from 1998 to 2018, the Russian champion in the three-way section and multi-way section for the period 2001-2003, multiple winner of international competitions, author of articles in specialized magazines, sports judge in many prestigious competitions. Currently has about a hundred works in the FIDE album.
