Before the administrative reform of Estonian local governments in 2017, the village belonged to Pala Parish .
Number of inhabitants
According to the 2011 census , 37 people lived in the village, 33 (89.2%) of them were Estonians [2] .

Description
The village is located 18 kilometers north of the volost center - Kolkja village - and 39 kilometers northeast of the county center - the city of Tartu . Height above sea level - 59 meters [4] .
Through the village passes the highway Saare - Pala - Kodavere .
