The East Ridge is a mountain system on the Kamchatka Peninsula , consisting of a number of separate ranges with steep western and gentle eastern slopes. The southern part of the system is the Ganal Vostryaki ridge (up to 2277 m), the middle part is the Valaginsky ridge ( Kudryash hill - 1794 m), the north-eastern part is the Kumroch ridge ( Shish volcano - 2346 m).

It is about 600 km long and about 120 km wide. The highest point is the Kizimen hill (2485 m). The ridge is composed mainly of volcanic-shale strata, igneous rocks and tuffs . The slopes are covered with forests of stone birch and shrubs of cedar dwarf and rhododendron .
