The head of the Berdyansk spit is part of the Priazovsky National Natural Park (since 2010), a landscape reserve of local importance (1998-2010) located in the extreme south of the Berdyansk City Council ( Zaporizhzhya Region , Ukraine ). The reserve was created on November 27, 1998 . Area - 221 ha.

History
It was created by the decision of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council of November 27, 1998 No. 10. It became part of the Priazovsky National Natural Park - a zone of regulated recreation [1] , created on February 10, 2010 in accordance with a decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.
Description
It occupies the head of the Berdyansk spit with the adjacent waters of the Berdyansk Bay . The tip of the spit fits snugly against the bay.
The reserve was created with the aim of protecting typical and unique steppe and aquatic natural complexes of the northwestern coast of the Sea of Azov: in particular the Berdyansk Spit.
The nearest town is Berdyansk .
Nature
Excessive grazing, plowing of slopes, recreation, flower picking and digging bulbs have a negative impact on the natural state of natural complexes.
More than 350 species of higher plants grow on its territory, including 30 endemic species. Some of them are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine (2009) (for example, Astragalus Dnieper , Katran Pontic ).
